Description

Performance in a Pandemic (Routledge, 2021) edited by Laura Bissell and Lucy Weir attempted to capture the first flurry of creative activity and innovation from artists, performers, curators and creative practitioners in March 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic caused the world to pause. This hybrid event four years since the initial lockdown brings authors together to reflect on their initial responses, what has happened since, and to consider the long-term impact of the pandemic on live performance practices in a range of places and contexts.
Contributors from Iceland, England, US, Mexico, various parts of Scotland will join the editors and authors in person for the live event in Edinburgh. Authors include:
Shona Mcnaughton, Lito Titsou, Chris Elsden, Marc Silberschatz, Tamsin Hong, David Gutiérrez Castañeda, Denise Espírito Santo, Judit Bodor, Kate Craddock, Gudrun Soley Sigurdardottir, Rachel Clive Mark Jeffrey, Judd Morrissey, Ava Avnisan, Rebecca Stancliffe.
