I was co-investigator on the AHRC Future Ecologies: Producing Dance Network (FE:PDN).
Funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), this network brings together academics and arts professionals to reimagine an inclusive, extended and sustainable ecosystem for dance. Encompassing dance as a broad and diverse practice and academic discipline, the network enables dialogue, exchange and strategic development at a time of significant challenges. PDN will respond to the unprecedented convergence of Brexit and Covid-19, coupled with acute concerns regarding diversity, social justice and climate change that have been exacerbated by economic and political instability and war. In this context, envisioning a new future for producing dance and practice research through an ecological perspective, seems vital. This requires a collective and inclusive approach.
