Biography

Clare graduated in 2004 from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, with First Class BA (Hons) in Theatre Practice- Sound Design. She worked extensively in musical theatre sound departments across the West End and on National and International tours.

In 2015 she relocated to Oman to work at the Royal Opera House Muscat as Senior Sound Technician.

Since starting the role as Lecturer in Sound on the BA Production, Technology & Management course at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Clare has completed her MEd in Learning & Teaching in the Arts. As part of the programme design team for the new Masters in Production course, she coordinates two modules.

Since 2022, Clare has been a board member for the Association for Sound Design and Production. Work with the Association for British Theatre Technicians includes being a panel member for the Virutal Ideas Platform and writing and delivering a programme to support professional development for tutors.
