Biography
David Fennessy’s music has been performed internationally by many groups including the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Modern, London Sinfonietta and the RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. He holds Masters degrees from the RCS and the HfMDK, Frankfurt.
David’s music is published by Universal Edition, Vienna.
Professional highlights
In 2010 he received a prestigious Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award as well as a Vital Spark Award from Creative Scotland which lead to the music theatre work Pass the Spoon.
In 2010 – 2012 he was a Fellow of the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart and in 2008 was an International Creator Resident Tokyo Wonder Site in Japan.
