A composition commissioned by the One World, One Music concert series in Germany, hosted by Ensemble Musikus Diestedde and in celebration of the 70-year diplomatic ties between the Philippines and Germany. This initiative aimed to bridge cultures through choral music.
This setting of Ama Namin unfolds in a gentle, layered fashion, lending a sense of fluidity and continuous grace of divine provision. The music gradually builds to its most fervent point at the plea for "our daily bread," reflecting the deep connection between food, community, and faith in many Southeast Asian cultures, where nourishment is both a physical necessity and a spiritual act of sharing.
