Details
Supported by Baillie Gifford, and as part of the Dunedin Consort's wider education and community programme, this project brings music outside the concert hall and into the community, offering inspiring, participatory workshops to children from deprived areas, where access to first-class music-making really does have the power to transform lives.
The project consists of a 6 week workshops programme and learning attainment-appropriate lecture recitals in schools, before culminating in the Dunedin Consort's Children’s Messiah performances in Edinburgh and Glasgow in December, where participating schools come together to enjoy Handel’s Messiah in a specially-crafted performance for children.
Jessica Leary, Lucia Caparello, Emily Mitchell, Kristin Deeken, Alison McGillvray, Clea Friend, Hilary Michael, Mark Braithwaite, Aaron McGregor
