Vol. 1 of the first ever critical edition of all of Gabriel Fauré's songs, published in two versions, for high voice and medium voice; contains 34 songs, one of them in two versions; many variant readings published for the first time, including alternative ritornello and ending for 'Mai' and a complete variant version of 'S'il est un charmant gazon' which casts new light on the song's character. Volume received the 'Edition of the Year’ award from the German Music Publishers’ Association at the 2015 Frankfurt Musikmesse.
