Commissioned in 2018, and taking place throughout 2019, this research project interrogating the landscape of education opportunities for UK professional ballet and contemporary Company Dancers has a dual aim. Firstly, to inform the development of Scottish Ballet’s Dancers’ Education Group (DEG) (building on an evaluation of the pilot previously undertaken (Whiteside, 2016)) and, secondly, to share the findings pertaining to models of practice, and shared benefits and challenges, with wider interested parties.
