Robert Cooper photographs
Timothy Cooper electroacoustic sound
Listeners are led around Blast Beach in Seaham, County Durham by both image and sound. A tension arises between the still images and the moving sound which is reinforced by the acidic quality of many of the pictures.
The title carries some irony, as the nature of the imagery and the through-composed sound subverts many expectations that a Postcard may carry, either musically, visually or in terms of content.
Robert's Bio:
Robert Cooper (b. 1952) is a photographer with a special interest in the North East England coastal landscape. He has collaborated on a popular series of books about Holy Island.
