Reflections on Weaving Western and Eastern Textual and Musical Elements in Lux Luminosa

Details

I offer brief insights about my recent thirteen-movement composition, Lux Luminosa, which reflects the harmonisation of the Western Judeo-Christian tradition with that of Asian textual and musical elements. A key aspect of the discussion focuses on the middle section of Lux Luminosa, where I attempt to symbolically bridge diverse worldviews and complexities. My aim is to invite conversation about the transformative potential of inter-faith dialogue and cross-cultural narratives, thereby enriching our understanding of theological themes and promoting unity amidst diversity.
