Details

This six year study draws on some affecting encounters that I have had exploring the lives of independent (indie) musicians. Long-term research relationships aren’t often referred to within creativity literature. Through reflecting on these relationships this study explores the lived experiences and emotions of indie musicians, and the relationship between their indie identity, the precarity of their creativity, and mental health, and therein my own experiences as a researcher in approaching and exploring the expression of such sensitive yet embodied creativity.
