Details
The composers Jacob Obrecht (c.1456/7–1505) and Alexander Agricola (c.1455–1506) were born in Ghent, presumably within a short time of each other, and may even have sung alongside each other as choirboys. This article investigates possible links between their respective outputs, which may be particularly evident in their later stages, suggestive of the possibility of direct influence.
