Shared Narratives 2021 - Vocalising In and Through Nature: Re-Materializing the Classical Voice, with an Analysis and Performance of Jason Eckardt’s Populus tremuloides: “Quaking Aspen”

Stephanie will present a talk, score analysis, and short performance for the Shared Narratives: Supporting work by performing arts researchers of colour 2021 conference. The talk will study capabilities of the classical voice through modern vocal techniques and various eco-materialist perspectives, and the performance will be a live (virtual) premiere of Jason Eckardt's work for solo voice, Populus tremuloides: "Quaking Aspen".
