This presentation was on behalf of the New Instruments For TheorY (NIFTY), a series of exploratory workshop, to be held in May or June 2022, and funded by British Academy/Leverhulme Trust. that brings together music theorists with experts in digital humanities and instrument construction/development. The focus of conversation will be on assessing the possibilities/limits of what instrument construction can do for theoretical research and pedagogy.
