A selection of 25 Fauré songs sung by American bass Jared Schwartz, accompanied Roy Howat, recorded from musical texts prepared for the Peters edition of Gabriel Fauré Complete Songs, including first recordings of two songs with the original Italian texts, and a premiere reconstruction of the mini-cycle of Fauré's three Baudelaire settings. Most of the songs are recorded in bass keys for the first time, including one taken from an unpublished manuscript key.
